Big Things are Coming - Laying out the Roadmap for 2026
It’s been two weeks since launch, and we have been pleasantly surprised by the sheer interest shown in the product. In our eyes, this is further validation that there is a decent appetite for an all-encompassing WordPress performance debugging tool. As a result, we have never been more motivated to build the WordPress performance tool we always wish existed!
We have decided to create this post to give a sneak peek as to what to expect in the very near future.
Internally, we have discussed how we would love to have a transparent relationship with our users, letting them know about our roadmap, and making sure community ideas and suggestions are duly noted. We have plans to create a community forum at some point and will keep you posted when that is ready to join.
We have quite a clear vision of what we want DebugHawk to be. And it's important to stress that the current app is very much what we consider to be the minimum viable product! It’s rough around the edges and a lot of the functionality we want to add is missing. The most challenging thing right now is knowing what to prioritize.
DebugHawk Today
To make the most of DebugHawk currently, some technical know-how is required. We surface various performance metrics, but it's very much on the user to identify and fix the corresponding issues. This often requires a mixture of research and experience.
We understand this is not ideal…
The Ultimate Goal
We want users of all skill levels to be able to use DebugHawk to improve their WordPress sites performance. To do this, we aim to identify critical performance issues for you automatically, and then guide you on how to fix them. This workflow should mean you'll never have to use another performance tool again.
This should make the app much more user-friendly. Although it's worth mentioning that performance enthusiasts will still be able to dive into geeky detailed reports and have all the data at their disposal.
Here's a WIP sneak peek of where we've got too so far:
What's Next?
We expect DebugHawk to be a substantially different tool in a few months' time, with a redesigned interface, a dedicated issues screen showing you all the important stuff, and a far more substantial knowledge base. We hope you ride with us to see the app become fully realized. 😊
If you have any queries or feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out. And if you haven't already, we'd be very grateful if you'd sign up for a free trial to see if DebugHawk is the right fit for you.
